M.A.C Glaze Lipstick: Hue

This was my first M.A.C lipstick and I before I splashed out on it I researched the colours and lots of people suggested hue (hue is a pinky nude) as the best, first M.A.C lipstick. So I ordered it. Upon receiving my package I was very excited to try it out and to love it. However I was a tad disappointed, I felt it looked very cakey on my lips, almost like foundation. It accentuated every dry and cracked patch of skin on my lips, not the look I desired.

The packaging is the standard black bullet that all M.A.C lipsticks come in, which is very sophisticated and smart. The product being a glaze is super moisturising, not in any way sticky and it gives a lovely finish to the lips.

My one disappointment is that I really don’t feel this colour works for me in any way. It is pale on my lips and it really washes me out whenever I wear it. The wear however is relatively long with reapplications only needed a couple of times during the day (after eating etc.).

At £15 they are pretty pricey lipsticks, but for the quality you really can’t go wrong. I just wish I had gone to a M.A.C counter and swatched colours to find one that would look nice and suit me more than hue. I will however be buying more at some point, this one bad colour has not put me off the whole range.

What your favourite M.A.C lipstick?
