Review | Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I will be honest from the start, I never really got on the understanding of the point micellar water and was never going to go to through the hassle of ordering bioderma, but when I saw this in boots earlier this year I figured why not, I can finally see what all the fuss is about.

It is supposedly a make-up remover and cleanser in one and it does do that, it removes make up – though not waterproof particularly easily- it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the face which is a bonus and it is extremely gentle. Onto the down sides, It may sound silly but, to take all my make-up off may take up to 4 cotton pads and to me this is a bit excessive. I feel like a single make-up wipe is more economical and cost effective as I will always wash my face after.

So instead of using it as a method to remove and cleanse in one step, I have been using it as a cleanser before I put my make-up on in the morning. I feel that this way it wipes away the grime that has taken residence on my face overnight and leaves a clean soft base for my make-up. Using it this way I love it, using it the way it is supposed to be used, not so sure.

For £4.99 (400ml) it is not a bad price and I thing for those micellar water lovers out there this would be a great product, I just am yet to totally see the point!

Have you tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water? What are your thoughts on it?
