Makeup Revolution | Fortune Favours The Brave Pallet | Review & Swatches | Emma Jayne

Back in March I was lucky enough to attend the Revolution 2nd birthday party and at this event on display was the Fortune Favours The Brave pallet that has been designed in collaboration with BritishBeautyBlogger. After months of looking for waiting for the pallet to be back in stock I finally managed to get my hands on in and almost squealed with excitement!

This pallet consists of 30 shades that are a mix of mattes, glimmers and sheen's with a great range of colours, plenty of brown neutral tones (my favourites), as well as some purples, greens, and blues. so a wide range for everyone.

From testing they are generally of a really nice soft buttery formula with great pigmentation. Some of the lighter colours however, don’t show much. I had particular problems with latte, which was so solid that I could barely pick up any colour, but this was the only one like this. There is a little bit of fall out particularly from the darker colours so it may be worth watching out for that while applying (so it doesn't look like you've been punched!).

From wearing the shadows, I found that they last a really good length of time on the lids without creasing too much. I have really oily and watery eyes and they don’t crease or rub off anymore than any of my slightly more premium products during the day, so a big thumbs up there!

Now onto the packaging. The pallet is encased in a cheap feeling gold plastic (they had to save money somewhere), there is a huge mirror (YES!!) and a double ended brush with one side great for packing colour onto the lid while the other would work for blending colours into the crease (and not a single sponge applicator in sight!).

The pallet retails for £9.99 and is available from Superdrug (Check it out HERE!). Overall I would recommend this pallet as it is so affordable and provides a range of different looks at such a low price. It would be particularly great for anyone just starting out with makeup as the quality is good, the brush is decent and it doesn’t break the bank!

What are your thoughts on the pallet? Have you tried it or planning on picking it up soon?
