Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau De Parfum Review | Emma Jayne

Here it is, another fragrance post, but this time a review of the Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau De Parfum. As with my previous review Giorgio Armani Si, I was lucky to receive this as a gift for Christmas and I love it!

To start with the packaging is gorgeous it looks like a little bag which really makes it stand out within my perfume collection and even when its empty I can see myself using it as decoration.

Onto the scent, it is described by Marc Jacobs as;

A sensual, luxurious, woody fragrance, embodying the spirit of irreverent glamour.
The fragrance opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower, and saffron. The heart opens with luxurious notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The indulgent dry down reveals the base notes of vetiver, papyrus woods, and liquid amber.

In laymen’s terms it is a sexy woody fragrance with floral notes coming through.
I love wearing this on special evenings and day dates and have found it lasts a good length of time on the skin (up to 6 hours) and changes slightly with your skins natural oils, on me it becomes more woody and this brings out the sexiness of this fragrance.

I have the 30ml version of the Eau De Parfum which retails for £49 (50ml: £69, 100ml: £96).

Do you have this fragrance? Let me know in the comments your thoughts. Also let me know your all time favourite fragrance!

  1. I have this scent. I do find it slightly too sweet smelling for me. I have to really be in the mood to wear it.

  2. I also have this scent and it's a little over empowering for me. I'd wear it only when I really dress up and stuff. Not for everyday kinda use.

  9. I'm going to have to see about trying a sample of this. I've been strict Armani di Gioia the last couple of years. I've tried a couple here and there, but nothing has struck my fancy yet. I have a pretty picky nasal pallet! ha! Maybe this one will be a winner? Thank you for sharing!

  14. The bottle is unbelievable cute! I like woody fragrances with floral notes! My ultimate favorite perfume is Lady Million from Paco Rabanne, but I love this new perfume I got from Bruno Banani!

  16. The only reason already why I need this fragrance is because of the bottle. I heard good stories about the scent too. I will try it this weekend in the store.

  17. The bottle for this fragrance is so gorgeous. I have only tried one fragrance from Marc Jacobs and it was called Dot (the lady bug one). This one sounds delicious so will definitely have to give it a sniff test when I am next at a fragrance counter

  19. I love Marc Jacobs perfumes as have a few (Daisy, Dot & Daisy Dream) but I've not tried this one yet so next time I'm in town I will give myself a spray of it. I got the Honey perfume a couple of years ago and when I wore it to my work someone asked me what I had on as it smelt like a Haze Air Freshener!! I never wore it much after that comment :D
