As I’m sure you all know by now I love a
good brunch and have been reviewing the places I go. This review from a few
weeks ago was when we went out for a late lunch to Bread Centrale.
We had been wanting to here for a few weeks
and finally found the time so walked down the river – which was also really
nice, and headed in. first impressions are that this isn’t much of a place with
it not being obvious from the outside and then the décor inside being slightly dated,
but this didn’t put us off. The menu is good and I was drawn to the ‘build your
own brunch’ as in this you can put together your perfect brunch with a range of
breads, eggs, meat and sauces. I went for sourdough, poached eggs, bacon,
sausage, and avocado. Jack however decided to go for a BBQ Asian Chicken pizza
as we did go pretty late for brunch terms.
The Outside of Bread Centrale |
The food came out in good time and both
meals were tasty, and filling, with plenty coming on the plate. I found the sourdough
wash pretty tough but this wasn’t deal breaking. I also had a coffee and this
was a great quality coffee. Bread central is really reasonably priced with our
meal coming to around £30.
I would recommend Bread Centrale as the
perfect no fuss brunch place, it yummy, simple and reasonably price. Bread
central is also a bakery and the breads and cakes looked delicious so I would
also recommend for an afternoon coffee and cake stop too! You can check out their website HERE.
Have you been to Bread Centrale? What were
your thoughts? What would you build in a build your own brunch? Don’t forget to
also give me your London brunch recommendations so I can check them out!
